Web 2.0 is a term describing the trend in web design and development which is more than a set of ‘cool’ and new technologies and services that aims to enhance creativity, emphasize collaboration and sharing among users. It is a new way of communicating using the World Wide Web and focuses on building communities where people come together to share their ideas, passions and interests.

Tagging is the process of labeling a piece of content with metadata. It’s like a set of keywords example: dog training, “dog” & “training” keywords can be separate into two different tag, and is easy to navigate by user.

When i first heard about “Ajax”, i doesn’t know what is it & can’t find in my dictionary. “Ajax” is actually stand for “Asynchronous JavaScript And XML”, is a Web development technique for creating interactive Web applications. The combination of this powerful code allowed any part of the contents of web page to be updated or changed without the entire page being reloaded. It increase the usability, interactivity and speed of loading a Web pages. Example: Google Maps, Google Gmail, Google Labs.

3) RSS
RSS is stand for Really Simple Syndication. RSS Feeds is written in XML format for distributing news headlines and other content on the Web. It is a common feature in Blogs and any web 2.0 web service, it is so famous and allow users to subscribe to and get instant updates of content that interests them. Nowadays, most user would rather use RSS Feed to subscribe in their Internet Browser instead of “bookmark it/add to favourite”.

4) Creative Commons
Creative Commons is a non-profit organization which has released several copyright licenses known as “Creative Commons licenses” used to facilitate and encourage more versatility and flexibility in copyright.

5) Mash-up
Mash-up is a service that combines data from two or more from different type of web applications or services, and combines them to create a new web service.

6) Wiki
Wiki is a type of collaborative website that allows multiple users to easily create, edit, updated and organize web page contents, without having to learn HTML code at all.

7) Open source
Open source is a general term describing the source code under licenses guaranteeing anybody rights to freely use, modify, and redistribute the code. A lot of programming code like PHP, Perl, Ruby and Python are open-source.
