Today i just received a call from my friend, she got some error of her blog and can’t log in to the admin area, as i try to replace some php file, it still the same. So, have to re-install the whole wordpress blog and share what i have did maybe could help..

Before re-install, i have to backup the database, makesure all the post & comments are backup into my hard drive, i log into the Cpanel and click on mysql database icon, you will come to a lists of database which you may have installed eg. forum, wordpress, others content management software etc… of course you need to ensure which one of the database is under your wordpress blog, then, confirm & choose the correct database name and user name, no worry it comes with option), press and log into the phpmyadmin control panel.

In the phpmyadmin control area, you will saw a “Export” tab button, click and save your database as sql or xml will do, is better you save both into your hard drive. For the detail step and information, you can refer the links here from wordpress.org support center. ( http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database ).

But you have NOT backed up the files and folders – such as images, because phpMyAdmin can not handle large databases. As you follow the link above it will show the way using Straight MySQL Commands…
Cause i ‘m using the same domain and folders directories, so i just backup the image using FTP software to direct transfer the image files ( under the => wp-content/uploads/2008/08/.. ) in my hard drive.

After this, back to cpanel again, in mysql database manager, delete the database have been backup. Once database delete (uninstall), log in fantastico (icon) under your cpanel, (it should comes together with cpanel and your hosting account), re install it again, with fantastico, you don’t have to install the wordpress and setup your database manually, it configure everything for you automatic.

Wordpress has been successfully installed, go to mysql database manager and import all those backup files, you can refer the steps from wordpress.org support center

Last, upload all my images from hard drive to wordpress blog under “wp-content/uploads/2008/08″

Below are the components you need to prepare.

1. Squeeze page (Also name as sign up page)
2. Thank you page (Inform them to Confirm their Subscription from 1st email)
3. Download Page (After they have confirm subscription)
4. An Auto responder System – like Aweber, Getresponse, etc….
5. One Time Offer Sale Page (Optional)
6. Script for your “One Time Offer” & “Tracking code” Script for your gifts if you participle lots of giveaway events together (Both optional but very powerful)
7. Follow up Message (Stored in your Auto responder system)

Ok, let’s go into detail

1) Squeeze page
Create a short & given the clear reason why need to sign up. (what your’re offering and the benefit of the products) Make sure the page look professional and security issue stated clearly not to sell their contacts to anyone. Setup, copy and paste your Autoresponder optin code “<form> xxxxx </form>” in your squeeze page.

2) Thank you page
“Thank you” message & inform how to download the gift by asking them to confirm their 1st subscription email sent to their email address, remind to check junk mailbox as well. After confirm 1st email (One time offer immediately load), following the 2nd email will sent to their inbox contained the download link. This setting can be done in your Autoresponder System, so you don’t have to worry about how the script work.

3) One Time Offer (Killer Sale Letter) (Optional)
After confirm the 1st email, your auto responder system should have set to load this one time offer pages , inform this is the once ever best offer …. (On top of this One Time Offer pages, you can Inform your subscriber, gifts have been sent to their email address which is the 2nd email, so if they pass this offer, they still can get the download link from inbox)

4) Scripts for One Time Offer (Optional)
There are lots of scripts out there, different scripts will give you different results, i mostly recommend exit script, so the popup screen will function only when the user clicked the exit button. This is different from mouse hover function scripts.

5) Download page
You can skip the no.3) & no.4), direct download your gifts (2nd email) without one time offer and offering valuable products with follow up email.

JV Giveaway Tips:
- Join before they launched take some time to test all the sign up and download link.
- Make sure your gift is different from other jv , most popular gift is blogging, video tutorials, list building, search engine optimization, Private label right (plr) products, theme etc.
- Enhance your product image with “ecover action script” make it look pro, check the license term as well, allow to use product comes with “free give away”
